Youth Circles: Stories Across Cultures | 2026–2027

What happens when we step outside our familiar circles and discover the world through someone else's eyes?

We all have stories shaped by our cultures, experiences and the communities we belong to. Yet, how often do we get the opportunity to connect meaningfully with people whose lives and perspectives are different from our own?

Youth Circles: Stories Across Cultures invites youths aged 15 to 35 to embark on a journey of discovery, dialogue and connection.

Through photography, creative activities and facilitated dialogue circles, participants will explore the theme of "Encountering Differences" – reflecting on their own identities, discovering diverse perspectives and learning how to engage with differences through curiosity, empathy and respect.

There are no right or wrong answers, and you don't need any photography or artistic experience. Just bring an open mind, a willingness to listen and your own unique perspective.

With funding support from the SG Partnerships Fund, Youth Circles will be organising four programme cohorts between November 2026 and July 2027, bringing together up to 120 youths across Singapore.

Each cohort will welcome approximately 30 participants to explore what it means to encounter differences, challenge assumptions and build connections across cultures.

Important information

All Youth Circles Cohorts are free and open to youths between 15 to 35 years old.
You must be able to attend all sessions in each cohort as collaborative activities are involved.
No prior background in photography or photography equipment is required. Just bring a mobile phone.
Participants who completed all sessions in the cohort will receive a certificate of participation.
