​Youth Circles: Stories Across Cultures | 2026–2027

What happens when we step outside our familiar circles and discover the world through someone else's eyes?

We all have stories shaped by our cultures, experiences and the communities we belong to. Yet, how often do we get the opportunity to connect meaningfully with people whose lives and perspectives are different from our own?

Youth Circles: Stories Across Cultures invites youths aged 15 to 35 to embark on a journey of discovery, dialogue and connection.

Through photography, creative activities and facilitated dialogue circles, participants will explore the theme of "Encountering Differences" — reflecting on their own identities, discovering diverse perspectives and learning how to engage with differences through curiosity, empathy and respect.

There are no right or wrong answers, and you don't need any photography or artistic experience. Just bring an open mind, a willingness to listen and your own unique perspective.

What Can You Look Forward To?

• Discover new perspectives: Meet youths from different backgrounds and explore how culture and lived experiences shape the way we see the world.

• Tell your story through photography: Capture moments, places and experiences that reflect what encountering differences means to you.

• Have meaningful conversations: Take part in facilitated dialogue circles where everyone has an opportunity to share, listen and be heard.

• Build genuine connections: Form friendships and discover common ground with people you might not otherwise meet.

• Create something together: Contribute your photographs, reflections and stories towards a collective creative showcase celebrating diverse perspectives.

Four Cohorts. 120 Youths. Countless Stories.

With funding support from the SG Partnerships Fund, Youth Circles will be organising four programme cohorts between November 2026 and July 2027, bringing together up to 120 youths across Singapore.

Each cohort will welcome approximately 30 participants to explore what it means to encounter differences, challenge assumptions and build connections across cultures.
